Men and Women’s 6 v 6 Adult Outdoor League

2014 Season Program Overview

The Kentucky Amateur Soccer League created our 6 aside Women and Men's league 4 years ago to provide league for all players that wanted to continue to play during the spring, summer and fall sessions outdoors. The KASL is cost effective to ensure that all adult players looking for local soccer leagues have an affordable place to play and a great competitive/ fun environment.

League fees for the 8 week session will be $350 per team. Players must be 16 years of age or older when registering. If a player is between ages of 16 and 18 they must have parent or guardian approval. All players must be registered with the KASL, which means all players need to fill out a Kentucky Amateur Soccer League Registration/ Medical Release Form and pay the yearly dues of $25 for the registration cost. The Player Registration/ Medical Release Form and fees will need to be submitted before your first session for new players and August 1st for returning players.

Players can be added to teams at anytime during the season by submitting a Kentucky Amateur Soccer League Registration/ Medical Release form and yearly registration fee to the KASL office one week prior to the first game. The KASL will have your updated registered players at each league game and if a player is not registered, they will not be allowed to play until they submit the registration form and fee.

Team applications, team fees, player registration forms, and yearly dues must be submitted one week prior to the start of the first session. All forms and checks can be mailed to Kentucky Amateur Soccer League, P.O. BOX 34113, Louisville, KY 40232 or faxed to 502-459-8069. Please include team name on the top corner of your registration form. Once KASL receives your team application, player registration forms, and dues the KASL will send you your KASL approved team roster. Each team must have their approved roster with them at every game. Roster will be checked to insure all players are registered and dues have been paid.

If you are interested in getting a league started on any other day of the week, please just let me know and we can start the process to get that together. With the Kentucky Amateur Soccer League we have the flexibility to have games full sided or small sided on any night of the week for any gender (men, women’s or co-ed). The only requirement is there must be 4 teams to make the league happen.

MANDATORY REPORTING OBLIGATION UNDER FEDERAL LAW

Please be aware that under the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and SafeSport Authorization Act of 2017, adults who work in youth sports that compete across state lines and/or internationally are “mandatory reporters” who have an obligation to report to law enforcement facts giving them a reason to suspect child abuse within 24 hours of becoming aware of the facts. Reporting to U.S. Soccer will not fulfill your obligation under federal law—you must still report to law enforcement. That said, we nonetheless encourage you to report to U.S. Soccer any conduct that could violate U.S. Soccer policy so that we may have the opportunity to address the issue separate and apart from law enforcement. Please see www.safesoccer.com for more information regarding our prohibited conduct policy.
